Service Description

In this workshop, you will explore key techniques of watercolour painting and get to experiment the versatility of this medium in an accessible and interactive approach. Watercolour is interesting, expressive and amazingly unpredictable. This workshop is suitable for anyone curious about this material, reconnecting people with their creativity, and providing meaningful moments by sharing this experience with others while painting. This session will be co-hosted by Gisele Najia Ponzoni, a Lisbon-based artist and designer with a deep connection to the poetic strength of watercolour. For Gisele, painting is a soulful, intuitive practice — one she shares with care and openness. Originally from Brazil, Gisele studied Architecture and Urbanism at PUCRS, including a formative year at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, which broadened her artistic perspective. After working in interior design, she shifted her focus to more personal and expressive forms of visual art. Through her creative studio, studioGAYA, she develops brand identities, exclusive textile prints, and original illustrations — many created in watercolour, a technique she is drawn to for its lightness and transparency. In 2023, she began studying painting at Ar.Co - Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual. Her creative journey is also informed by diverse interests — including bio-construction, photography, music, spirituality, yoga, and nature — all of which influence her artistic process and worldview. One example of this intersection between art and purpose is her project More Art, Less Plastic: a series of illustrated eco-bags that merge sustainability, aesthetic value, and originality.
